This was my second project with Zawe which was made for the London Corinthia's Artist in Residency programme which Zawe had won jointly with director David Petch. Zawe and David were selected from a list of 12 finalists out of an original 68 entries and Zawe was mentored by Eric Fellner Co-Chairman of Working Title Films.

The brief, to write a short film set entirely in the hotel make around the theme of sleep, ironically led to three intense days of very little sleep filming against the exquiste backdrop of the Corinthia Hotel. The story is of two guests (perfectly played by Daisy Lowe and Tom Ellis) who fall in love whilst sleep walking but fail to recognise each other upon waking. Filming in such a sumptuous environment was in stark contrast to the previous film we made together Happy Toys which favoured a not quite so glamourous disused shopping unit in Hounslow and I absolutley relished the opportunity to create something magical and unashamedly beautiful!
